This article will help you implement best practices on the event naming.
Since events can be used in different sections of Air360. Naming your events properly are very important to allow collaboration between teams and to avoid confusion.
A good event name should include:
- The type of the event such as a page view button clicks, API triggered, etc,
- It should indicate the exact action of the user.
- The device that the event is tracking: Mobile or desktop
- If it just tracking a language, or territory, or if it is global.
For example, let's say that we want to Track this Schedule a demo button just on the homepage , on our global website and only when it is clicked by mobile users.
So following our naming criteria the proper name should be:
"Click on Schedule a Demo in Homepage MOBILE "
Makes sense right?
If you already have your events setup, don't worry, you can always go back to your event app to change the name and even configurations of all your events.
